from Pastor Aaron…
Easter is about new life and resurrected life, so where do you see or experience new life? One of our members just reconnected with a college friend they had not spoken with in decades. Some of our families have recently welcomed children and grandchildren, and our church family welcomes those new lives by extension. Some of us have received good news about a medical condition that no longer affects us as dramatically or at all. Easter is a season for us to share and celebrate in that new life together, so share your joy with those you meet.
And there is new life coming soon to our community because of this congregation, too! During Lent last year, Patti spoke to us about Food Deserts and Food Insecurities in this part of NC. Earlier this year, six of us began meeting to help address some of that need. The result is the Moravian Square Market, a ministry of Rural Hall Moravian Church.
Moravian Square Market will open on Thursday, April 27th from 2:30 to 6:00, and each Thursday afterwards until the Fall frost. Anyone is welcome to sell at the Market. We hope to have a mixture of fresh fruits and veggies, eggs, cheese, meats, crafts, baked goods, and more! If you or someone you know wants to be a vendor, please call the office or download a vendor application off the church website. You can be a one time vendor or sell every week. It’s only $5 a week and all vendor fees will be donated to a local food ministry at the end of the season.
Most importantly, we need your help. We need your help…
…spreading the word about the Market
…shopping at the Market
…praying for the Market
…and sharing the new life God reminds us of each Easter Morning.
