The Great RuralFest BakeOff Competition and Sale

The competition will be from 9:00-12:00.  Doors open at 8:30 for vendors and 9:00 for visitors.  The competition will end at 12:00 and the sale will end at 1:00.

  • $10/table for vendors. Vendors are encouraged to bring baked goods to sell, and choose one item to submit for competition.

  • Competition items should be cut and/or presented as small bites for sharing - the more, the merrier.)

  • Visitors' Entry Fee: $5. Visitors will receive 5 tickets at the entry, with extra tickets available for $1/ticket.

  • 50% of the entry fee revenue, ticket sales, and table fees will be donated to St. James United Methodist Church's food pantry.  The remaining 50% will be granted to the vendor with the most tickets at the end of the event.

Competition Rules:

  • Visitors will use their tickets to vote for their favorite desserts.

  • Vendors will provide small bites of one of their items for visitors to try.  Vendors are encouraged to be creative with the presentation of their competition item.

  • Each vendor will be provided with a vessel for their tickets.  Vessels will be taken at 12:00 to be tallied.

  • The vendor with the most tickets is the winner.  In the case of a tie, the winning vendors will split the prize in equal shares.
